5 SWEET, SWEET SYRUP SEASON PARTY IDEAS

March means maple season is here. If you’ve got a March baby it’s the perfect excuse to throw a Sugar Shack or a Pyjamas + Pancakes-themed sleepover party! What child doesn’t love syrup-soaked pancakes and sweet maple lollypops??? Or even if you don’t have a March baby, and are just looking for a sweet excuse to throw a party, here it is: call me sappy, but here’s your chance to celebrate the birth of spring! Kortright Centre for Conservation  – join a pre-registered maple syrup guided hike, learning about Early Indigenous, Early European Settler and Modern production methods of sap harvesting, as well as sugar and syrup production. 4. Maple Town at Mountberg Conservation Area – see how sap is magically transformed into sweet, sticky syrup and smell the fragrant steam rising from simmering kettles, learn the secrets of Maple Candy making and taste FREE candy samples, enjoy piping hot pancakes smothered in fresh maple syrup outdoors in our pavilion nestled in the woods, jump around in the Play Barn, hop on a guided wagon tour through the sugar bush, and see inspiring Birds of Prey in the Raptor Centre. $7.75/adult, $ 6.75/senior, $5.50/child (5-14), children under 5 FREE.
